Comfort Style is a UK pet supplies dropshipping store built on Shopify. After Mark X Media designed and built the store (see the Comfort Style Shopify build), we took over ongoing e-commerce SEO to grow organic sales.
The challenge
Pet supplies is one of the most competitive e-commerce categories, dominated by big retailers and marketplaces. A dropshipping store also shares product descriptions with many other sellers, which makes it hard to stand out in Google.
What we did
- Rewrote product and collection pages so they don’t copy the supplier’s descriptions
- Built collections around how pet owners search: by pet, by problem and by product type
- Fixed Shopify’s technical issues: duplicate collection URLs, thin tag pages and slow images
- Published buying guides that link to the right collections
- Added product schema so price and stock information can appear in Google results

The 12-month graph shows a low, flat period until early March 2026, then steady growth that peaked at more than 200 clicks a day in late summer. An average position of 9.1 means the store now sits on page one for a large share of its searches.
Why it worked
Dropshipping stores rank when they offer something the supplier’s copy doesn’t: better structure, original descriptions and helpful buying advice. Combined with a clean Shopify setup, that gave Google good reasons to rank the store over sellers using the same products.
